Some of the deeds committed in my name just made me wonder were I went wrong.
Back at the start when I created this, the foundation seemed so strong.
See all the elements were already here, long before I began, I just kind of put it all together
I didn't really think out a long-term plan.

I made the sun an appropriate distance and laid the stars across the sky
So you could navigate the globe or simply watch the sun rise
I covered the earth with plants and fruits,
Some for sustenance and some for beauty
I made the sun shine and the clouds rain so their maintenance wasn't your duty
I tried to give each creature its own attributes without making them enveloped
I gave you all you all your own space to grow and in your own way space to develop

I didn't know such development would cause rifts and jealousy
Cause you to war against each other and leave marks on this planet indelibly
You see, I wasn't really the creater, I was just the curator of nature
I want to get something straight with homosexuals right now: I don't hate ya
I was a simple being that happened to be the first to wield such powers
I just laid the ground, it was You that built the towers

    The second video is titled Ron Paul is Bill Maher's new hero. I'm not too fond of Bill anymore with all his cowardly nonsense and denial about 9/11, ignoring a whole freaking lot of evidence he never bothers to mention, but I agree that Ron Paul is one hell of an American politician, and a republican at that! Barak Obama lost all his marbles with me when he said the Bush admin shouldn't be impeached, and he just sounds way too rehearsed. Ron Paul and Mike Gravel on the other hand seem like politicians with some common sense! Who speak from the heart. Who'd have thunk it? A fairly decent candidate on each side, I'm flabbergasted!

    Check out their stances on
    Marijuana: Decriminalize it.
    Universal health care: Moderately for (gravel)/against (paul) it.
    War in Iraq: Against it. (Gravel also has a plan to have troops home before Christmas).
    Gay marriage: For it.
    Income tax: Against it.

    On the other hand their stances on 9/11 and Terrorism are the same as any dimwitted mainstream sheep... :p

    Robert Anton Wilson: It could well be a red herring. It could be our own minds developing and we need to have some kind of entity that we can project all this on to. It could be that their are no 'allies', no Holy Guardian Angels, no extraterrestrials at Sirius. But there's a whole chain of amazing coincidence. A guy I know named Neo Wilgus, who's done another book on the Illuminati which is coming out soon, said that while he was researching it he couldn't go into a bookstore without picking a book up and opening it at a page which referred to the Illuminati. That happened to Shea and myself while we were writing Illuminatus! Once I got into the Sirius thing it kept happening. I went into a bookstore and looked at a book by J.F. Bennett called Gurdjieff, Making a New World. I opened it at random and found this passage where Gurdjieff talks about the hidden references to Sirius in Beelzebub's tales to his grandson. I said, 'What! Gurdjieff is making hidden references to Sirius - why?' Then I found hidden references in Crowley's work that Kenneth Grant talks about. There it seems much more that synchronicity. Grant says that Crowley was in contact with extraterrestrials and that Sirius was the Silver Star that's referred to in a lot of Crowley's poetry - the Argentum Astrum [also the name of Crowley's secret magickal order].

    I'll post here periodically when I updated something. If you checked my Stumbleupon blog you know I've been to Thailand for two weeks (click for some pics), which I absolutely loved - I so wanna move over there. Also I'm gonna be very busy the next few weeks, launching my new career (whatever it is :p) and so not much time for (m)any updates here. I updated the streaming vids page and the recommended books page.

    I also got to know the Emotional Freedom Technique from Gary Craig, I'm still evaluating it though.

    I totally recommend the following books: RA Salvatore - Dark Elf Trilogy (see stumbleupon blog for quotes), Joseph O'Connor & John Seymour - NLP Psychological skills for understanding and influencing people (excellent), PJ Hansen - Hypnosis in practice (ok). I read a book on 'provocative therapy' but didn't like that much, crazy dutch people :p. I'm still reading Graham Hancock's Supernatural which is mindbogglingly awesome and I'm (probably) gonna start reading (all of) the following books: Deepak Chopra - Buddha, Carl Jung - Redmeption in Alchemy, Carl Jung - Western Consciousness & Eastern Insight, Lewis Carroll - Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Philip K. Dick - Ubik and H. Berghs - An introduction to the thinknig of E. Levinas, L. Wittgenstein, A. Whitehead, J. Habermas.

    GET RID OF YOUR SOCIAL SUPPORT SYSTEM. Let the few friends who are willing to tolerate you know that concern yourself with friendships only if you have time, and you never have time. If a few people persist in trying to be your friend, avoid them.

    PERSONALIZE ALL CRITICISM. Anyone who criticizes any aspect of your work, family, dog, house, or car is mounting a personal attack. Don't take time to listen, be offended, then return the attack!

    THROW OUT YOUR SENSE OF HUMOR. Staying stressed is no laughing matter, and it shouldn't be treated as one.

    MALES AND FEMALES ALIKE - BE MACHO. Never ever ask for help, and if you want it done right, do it yourself!

    Psychotherapist denied entry in US after border guard googled his work.

    Fingerprints for FBI:
    He was told to sit down on a folding chair and for hours he wondered where this was going. He checked his watch and thought hopelessly of his friend who was about to land at the Seattle airport. Three hours later, the official motioned him into a small, barren room with an American flag. He was sitting on one side and Feldmar was on the other. The official said that under the Homeland Security Act, Feldmar was being denied entry due to "narcotics" use. LSD is not a narcotic substance, Feldmar tried to explain, but an entheogen. The guard wasn't interested in technicalities. He asked for a statement from Feldmar admitting to having used LSD and he fingerprinted Feldmar for an FBI file.

    Then Feldmar disbelievingly listened as he learned that he was being barred from ever entering the United States again. The officer told him he could apply to the Department of Homeland Security for a waiver, if he wished, and gave him a package, with the forms.

    The border guard then escorted him to his car and made sure he did a U-turn and went back to Canada.

    Does Maya calendar predict 2012 apocalypse?

    With humanity coming up fast on 2012, publishers are helping readers gear up and count down to this mysterious — some even call it apocalyptic — date that ancient Mayan societies were anticipating thousands of years ago.
    Since November, at least three new books on 2012 have arrived in mainstream bookstores. A fourth is due this fall. Each arrives in the wake of the 2006 success of 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl, which has been selling thousands of copies a month since its release in May and counts more than 40,000 in print. The books also build on popular interest in the Maya, fueled in part by Mel Gibson's December 2006 film about Mayan civilization, Apocalpyto.
    Authors disagree about what humankind should expect on Dec. 21, 2012, when the Maya's "Long Count" calendar marks the end of a 5,126-year era.
    Journalist Lawrence Joseph forecasts widespread catastrophe in Apocalypse 2012: A Scientific Investigation Into Civilization's End. Spiritual healer Andrew Smith predicts a restoration of a "true balance between Divine Feminine and Masculine" in The Revolution of 2012: Vol. 1, The Preparation. In 2012, Daniel Pinchbeck anticipates a "change in the nature of consciousness," assisted by indigenous insights and psychedelic drug use.
    The buildup to 2012 echoes excitement and fear expressed on the eve of the new millennium, popularly known as Y2K, though on a smaller scale, says Lynn Garrett, senior religion editor at Publishers Weekly. She says publishers seem to be courting readers who believe humanity is creating its own ecological disasters and desperately needs ancient indigenous wisdom.
    "The convergence I see here is the apocalyptic expectations, if you will, along with the fact that the environment is in the front of many people's minds these days," Garrett says. "Part of the appeal of these earth religions is that notion that we need to reconnect with the Earth in order to save ourselves."
    here comes the funny part:
    But scholars are bristling at attempts to link the ancient Maya with trends in contemporary spirituality. Maya civilization, known for advanced writing, mathematics and astronomy, flourished for centuries in Mesoamerica, especially between A.D. 300 and 900. Its Long Count calendar, which was discontinued under Spanish colonization, tracks more than 5,000 years, then resets at year zero.
    "For the ancient Maya, it was a huge celebration to make it to the end of a whole cycle," says Sandra Noble, executive director of the Foundation for the Advancement of Mesoamerican Studies in Crystal River, Fla. To render Dec. 21, 2012, as a doomsday or moment of cosmic shifting, she says, is "a complete fabrication and a chance for a lot of people to cash in." (Yes but if it was true the careers of these so called 'scholars' would be discredited and THEY wouldn't be able to cash in anymore...)
    Part of the 2012 mystique stems from the stars. On the winter solstice in 2012, the sun will be aligned with the center of the Milky Way for the first time in about 26,000 years. This means that "whatever energy typically streams to Earth from the center of the Milky Way will indeed be disrupted on 12/21/12 at 11:11 p.m. Universal Time," Joseph writes.
    But scholars doubt the ancient Maya extrapolated great meaning from anticipating the alignment — if they were even aware of what the configuration would be. Astronomers generally agree that "it would be impossible the Maya themselves would have known that," says Susan Milbrath, a Maya archaeoastronomer and a curator at the Florida Museum of Natural History. What's more, she says, "we have no record or knowledge that they would think the world would come to an end at that point." University of Florida anthropologist Susan Gillespie says the 2012 phenomenon comes "from media and from other people making use of the Maya past to fulfill agendas that are really their own."

    How hypnosis got eclipsed in psychology
     Another shameful aspect of psychology's history
    The young Sigmund Freud studied with Liebault and Bernheim at the Nancy School and initially used hypnosis in his practice. In the end, Freud stopped using hypnosis. The reason declared publicly was that a young female patient had jumped up and kissed him. Freud professed to be shocked and concluded that hypnosis was far too volatile to use. The little known history of hypnosis records a different reason why Freud stopped using hypnosis: his cocaine usage had ruined his gums, and his false teeth did not fit well, causing him not to speak well enough to induce trance easily.

    In competition with an excellent hypnotist named Breuer, Freud invented 'talking therapy.' Freud said that his talking therapy would not be a therapy for the poor. It would take 100 to 300 hours to effect a cure. His talking therapy became psychoanalysis and this changed the history of European psychology. Freudian psychoanalysis became the rage in psychology and it became inappropriate to use any other techniques. Consequently, hypnosis was eclipsed.

    5 'terrorists' (read: muslims) get life sentences in 'London bomb plot'

    The trial for the first time exposed connections between the defendants and the deadly 2005 al-Qaida-linked attack on the city's transit system.

    Details kept secret to ensure a fair trial showed that counterterrorism agents tracking the five men had also stumbled onto the transit plotters. And despite disturbing signs that the transit plot was in the works, the agents failed to piece them together in time to prevent the July 7, 2005 bombings that killed 52 people, testimony and official briefings during the trial showed.

    The revelations are at odds with statements by Tony Blair's government after the 2005 attack. Senior ministers, who a month earlier had lowered the country's alert status, said the 2005 attack was unexpected and the perpetrators unknown.

    An investigation into this has been denied by the British Government, because they don't want more people to find out the july 7 bombings were an inside job just like 9/11...

    I decided I'd finally do the exercises in Hyatt's crazy ass book Undoing yourself with energized meditation and other devices, I read in the preface that Israel Regardie says that Osho's Chaotic Meditation (which is mentioned later in this post, and updated on Osho's page) is what comes closest to Hyatt's methods so why not test that respected opinion. It's less exhausting and muscle straining than Kundalini Yoga & the Chaotic meditation (these are all circuit 6 level practices btw). The book is also one of the funniest thought provoking bitchslapping mindfucking pieces of literature you could ever hope to find.
    Yogani's mantra meditation and pranayama is great for cultivating samadhi but I don't think a mantra meditation will ever lead to enlightenment and with all the freaking add-ons every so much time too... so let's up the ante, keep up with the AYP routine and go up a circuit nonetheless. This will be a time of interesting pacing as I'm doing Reiki, Tibetan Yoga, running and working out and all kinds of other stuff like NLP and Hypnosis aswell.
    I'm also working on several new pages I promised before but it could take a while before they finally make it online.
    Oh and did I mention I'm going to Thailand in June? Because I am ;p

    Sharm is a great hypnosis program that lets you compose your own hypnosis tracks, it has sessions on over 15 subjects with multiple options for each. You can edit those or record your own and choose which binaural beats or suggestions to use, and much moore. It's quite excellent!
    I substituted my Holosync Awakening Prologue (which is part of a continues and expensive program), which I tried for a week and a half and was not serving me well at all, the dumbass bells made my thoughts race and were very distracting - I substituted it with a alpha intro to long theta back to alpha outro mp3 with ambient sounds and nature sounds from Sharm and was very happy to find my samadhi (stilness) back in meditation and my wonderful 'zone' feeling afterwards meditation. I've also tried a delta waves session which expectedly made me fall asleep right away for a nice nap!

    5 Tibetan Energy Rejuvenation exercises

    I recently got this book from a friend Ancient Secret of the Fountain of Youth by Peter Kelder, I read it in two days and found it very interesting. Not because I want or need to look more youthful (quite the opposite lol :p) but the energy rejuvenation aspect really interested me. The link above contains all 5 exercises with an animated image, it's a quick yoga routine which is more easy and fun to do than any Hatha Yoga routine I've come across.

    I then ran into this wiki article which is very skeptical of the exercises and their origins. I think it doesn't hurt to say that everyone needs to be very skeptical about all wiki articles and their origins aswell lol as a lot of articles seem to be composed by amateurs who know just a fraction of what the hell they're typing about. So here's a rebuttal of all the reasons they listed why these exercises are fiction.

    • 1. There are five chakras in Tibetan medicine, not seven chakras.

    So what, Kelder could have just edited the number of chakras to the more western used view.

    2. Tibetan medicine considers health to be a balance of five elements, not the speeding up of seven vortices.

    Generalizing Tibetan medicine, or anything is freaking stupid

    3. Yoga in Tibet never included whirling.

    Shamanism and Sufism (whirling) are the basis of most if not all mystical traditions in the world.

    4. Buddhist Lamas teach to transcend attachment to the body, including ideas of being young, thin or beautiful. Tibetan master Milarepa taught that illness and signs of aging were a wonderful blessing for cutting though our ego and attachment.

    There are so many schools, traditions and lineages in Tibet that no generalization is even respectful, views within these schools, traditions and even lineages differ greatly aswell.

    5. Authentic Tibetan yoga includes over a 100 movements and involves a variety of exercises.

    That's wonderful, so I guess that makes sure that a routine of 5 postures is invalid... Seriously thinking before you type, no?

    6. Tibetan yoga also includes several breathing practices, hundreds of complex visualisations and many meditation practices that a practitioner will take years to perfect under strict guidance from their personal Lama.

    Again, so what, some breathing practices are more advanced than others, not all practices include visualisations and not all exercises are performed under strict or any guidance from a personal or temporary Lama.

    7. An authentic Tibetan practitioner will always reveal the name and lineage of their teacher, usually accompanied by long dedicational verses. Similarly, authentic practitioners of any Tibetan system will make frequent citation and indeed veneration of any practice from an authentic ancient text. Generally said, any authentic Tibetan practice will have numerous references to lineage and provenance

    Well the Colonel wasn't an authentic Tibetan practitioner but an Englishman, and usually & frequent = not always...

    and will contain countless safeguards against invasive foreign interpolations.
    8. Tibetan monks did not teach secret yoga practices or share anything but minor spiritual practices with Westerners or laypersons generally in 1939.

    Holy generally generalization batman, where do you get it? Alexandra David-Neel was a WOMAN who travelled through India, China and mostly Tibet and got exposed to more knowledge, techniques, traditions, schools, mystical practices and teachings twenty to thirty years before the colonel supposedly went to Tibet.

    Even if the 5 Tibetans are made up by Peter Kelder or the Colonel or anyone the huge amount of positive reviews on Amazon seem to be clear that either they are most effective. The unconscious mind combined with repeated practice is extremely powerful whatever the case.

    Taken from TTC University course: Philosophy of Mind by John R. Searle, D. Phil.
    These are reasons M. Searle heard that are excuses to not have mainstream scientific inquiry into consciousness, they are all easily refuted!

  • 1. There is no 'satisfactory' theory of consciousness. Consciousness 'cannot' be defined.
  • answer: Distinguish analytical from common-sense definitions. Analytic definitions come at the end, not at the beginning of investigation. We can get a common-sense definition of consciousness easily at the outset.
  • 2. Consciousness = Subjective. Science = Objective.
  • answer: Distinguish epistemic sense of objective-subjective distinction from the ontological sense. Consciousness is ontologically subjective, but that does not prevent an epistemically objective science.
  • 3. We could never explain how the physical causes the mental (An attempt would be impossible because of the unclear distinction between neuron activity and feelings)
  • answer: We know it happens. Our puzzles are like earlier problems in the history of science such as explaining life and electro-magnetism.
  • 4. We need to seperate qualia from consciousness and leave the problem of qualia on one side. (Qualitative touchy-feely stuff can't be discarded easily to keep the objective stuff)
  • answer: There is no destinction between consciousness and qualia. Conscious states are qualia down to the ground.
  • 5. Epiphenomenalism: Consciousness can not make a difference to the world. Even if we did have a science of consciousness it wouldn't matter because consciousness is epiphenomenal
  • answer: Consciousness is no more epiphenomenal than any other high level features of reality.
  • 6. What is the evolutionary function of consciousness? It plays no role. (eg animals aren't conscious (lol! ahem!))
  • answer: Even our most basic activities, eating, procreating, raising our young, are conscious activities. If anything, the evolutionary role of consciousness is too obvious! (See 8-circuit model or Integral/AQAL theory for instance)
  • 7. The causal relation between brain and consciousness implies mind-body dualism.
  • answer: This objection confuses event causation with bottom-up causation.
  • 8. Science is by definition reductionistic. A scientific account of consciousness must reduce it to something else.
  • answer: We need to distinguish explanatory reductions from eliminative reductions. You cannot eliminate anything that really exists and consciousness really exists.
  • 9. Any scientific account of consciousness must be an information processing account.
  • answer: Information processing is observer-relative. Consciousness is intrinsic, observer-independent.

    In Battlestar Galactica yesterday they were trying to discredit President Laura Rosslyn for having her "drug induced" visions on Kamala plant extract.

    I had quite an evening meeting Kathleen Milner, talk about being in the presence of a higher consciousness! I recommend Tera Mai Reiki and her books to anyone!

    Also, if you are attuned to Reiki levels and things aren't going as smoothly as you hoped or feel they can, search a Tera Mai practitioner to remove man-made symbols that are not attuned to the source energy, and get re-attuned.

    A while ago I completed my last of 24 lectures on the "Passions: Philosophy and the Intelligence of Emotions" course from the teaching company (TTC Course No. 4123) Taught by Robert C. Solomon from The University of Texas at Austin (Ph.D., University of Michigan).

    I found it very entertaining, I didn't learn a super lot cause I was already well trained in emotional intelligence but I recommend it to anyone, a great teacher with some good lessons and will surely brighten up anyone. Philosophers and other people mentioned include Plato, Aristotle, William James, Freud, etc

    I also learned that anger may not be quite the 'basic' emotion we think it is.
    The Utkuhikhalingmiut tribe of Inuit (Eskimos) and The Polynesians of Tahiti and surrounding islands do not express anger at one another, and look down upon it, in fact the closest translation for the Utkuhikhalingmiut word would be childishness lol! The Polynesians even demonize anger and regard it as going crazy. Anthropologists who have studied Polynesians in some detail say that they hypercognize anger meaning that they talk about it a good deal, but they do not experience it often. In the west, we also hypercognize anger, but in this culture, that hypercognition serves as a spur to anger... (lol)

    This leads me to think that anger is mostly an inherited evolutionary asset which we needed for protection, but clearly can be overcome much easier than thought if entire societies can get rid of it in a healthy way. So if you're embarking on the spiritual path or trying to be happier with controlling your thoughts, think of the Utkuhikhalingmiut and Polynesians for inspiration :) I'll leave you with this thought: Do you think enlightenment still includes anger?

    Avoiding Anger

    evil speech. If you allow yourself to have thoughts of anger, you
    will hinder your own Way, and lose the merit and virtue you have
    gained. Patience is a virtue which neither upholding the precepts
    nor the ascetic practises are able to compare with. One who is able
    to practise patience can be called a great person who has strength;
    if you are unable to happily and patiently undergo the poison of
    malicious abuse, as if drinking sweet dew, you cannot be called a
    wise person who has entered the Way. Why is this? The harm from
    anger ruins all good dharmas and destroys one's good reputation.
    People of the present and of the future will not even wish to see
    this person. You should know that a heart of anger is worse than a
    fierce fire. You should always guard against it, and not allow it to
    enter you, for of the thieves which rob one's merit and virtue, none
    surpasses anger. Anger may be excusable in lay people who indulge in
    desires, and in people who do not cultivate the Way, who are without
    the means to restrain themselves, but for people who have left the
    home-life, who cultivate the Way and are without desires, harboring
    anger is impermissable. Within a clear, cool cloud, there should not
    be a sudden blazing clash of thunder.

    And an excellent Dutch TV show called Swallowing & Spitting (Slikken & Spuiten) about testing drugs and sex (no subs though - yet?), 10 episodes of testing and talking about different kinds of drugs and sex, a shame there's no subs yet but if you speak Dutch definitely check them out, I enjoyed the magic mushroom episode the most and think it's great there's such objective and open discussion on these topics.

    I really recommend Yogani's Mantra Meditation method, even in its most simple form of the first lessons it has remarkable effects from the first session on.

    The Yogani mantra meditation instructions are in my own words: assume your preferred meditative position, first rest for a little while to get centered, just let your breathing be as it is, keep the mind clear (if thoughts do arise, let them pass by as clouds), then introduce the mantra "I am", repeat in your mind as you like, the rhythm that feels right for you, you can change it anytime you want, just repeat it. You'll find with these instructions that include no breathing-exercises and such a free mantra method, you'll have no thoughts thinking if you're doing it right, hence you'll be able to focus on the meditation itself. Do this for 20 minutes. I had remarkable effects after only the first try.

    Unrelated to the previous mantra meditation I love this mantra from a cd called Namasté - Magical Healing Mantras (New Earth Records). I never realized it's the same mantra used in the new Battlestar Galactica show opening theme! Though they only say it once it's just as beautiful there. Here are different translations:

    The Gayatri Mantra is a highly revered mantra in Hinduism, second only to the mantra Om. It consists of a formula taken from the Yajurveda, and the verse 3.62.10 of the Rigveda (which is an example of the Gayatri meter). Since all the other three Vedas contain much material rearranged from the Rig Veda, the Gayatri mantra is found in all the four Vedas. The deva invoked in this mantra is Savitr, and hence the mantra is also called Sa-vitri.
    By many Hindus, the Gayatri is seen as a Divine awakening of the mind and soul, and within it a way to reach the most Supreme form of existence, and the way to Union with Brahman. Understanding, and purely loving the essence of the Gayatri Mantra is seen by many to be one, if not the most powerful ways to attain God.

    Qabalah (and The 8 Circuit Model and the Chakra System)
    If you're already on the spiritual path or aren't, you might be interested in Qabalah. Not as a religion or a belief system mind you, but as "another enlightening model" to reality to keep in flux with the others. Especially if you're interested in evolving through meditation and other mind-expanding practices, the 8 circuit model, magick, etc. I found it a wonderful enlightening addition to my current mishmash of former-atheist, agnostic, mayan, buddhist, jungian, psychonautic, toltec, egyptian, string theorist/quantum physicist, greek, huna, mystical, leary/wilson circuits, integral, etc worldview(s) :p. Gotta love all this formerly secret knowledge coming out, what a great time to be alive!
    On Deoxy.org the community has launched a new project called Praxis (formerly Socratic Hall) like a sort of classroom where people can volunteer to give sessions. There's an audiostream and a downloadable mp3 (fixed) and a Q&A session afterwards if you catch the live version in ventrilo. The first one of these was by the wonderful Merlyn on Qabalah, it's wonderfully enlightening and has cleared up a lot of floating concepts in my head. The 46 minute talk is also way better than this series of videos (linked on streaming vids page), I didn't know squatt about what I wanted to know after 10 of 'em! The notes page works as this: Pagelinks on right top, the Sepiroth titles are also links so you're gonna wanna click on them. I made my own notes on paper as I listened, paused occasionally and read the notes along and in one hour finally knew what the hell the Tree of Life is all about. (Warning, not recommended if you have not been enjoying philosophy and playing with your belief system. This knowledge might/will change your current view of the world drastically.)

    Let me just add something someone called the_phoenix on deoxy said about Qabalah and the Circuits: "Circuit #1 is grace/ugliness, #2 peace/war, #3 dominance/subjugation, #4 life/death, #5 seed/desolation, #6 wealth/poverty, #7 wisdom/folly... The top Sephirah ties into the bottom #1... #1 is the 'palace of the holy' (not 'holy palace), as #1 is the palace and #8 is holy. The connection between #8 and #1 is paralleled in the remaining Sephirot not included in the count of what may be likened to circuits. To make ten Sephirot total... these two are wisdom/beginning and understanding/end, corresponding to #8 that is qualifiably intuitive wisdom with #1 that is quantifiably manifest understanding. If you want to tie in the circuits with astrology, tarot/divination, sacred geometry, and theory/practice, in a way that you cannot talk about any particular one in isolation from the others, then the Qabalah in my mind is the only choice." (And I guess he was kinda right!)

    David Lynch and meditation, consciousness and creativity
    Hey I didn't know David Lynch was into Transcendental Meditation, I'd be too if I could get my hands on some cheaper instructions but hey. So David Lynch wrote a book called "Catching the Big Fish" last year, it's about meditation, consciousness, and creativity and I found the audiobook. So I'll post here what I think of it later on. If anyone knows a good TM site that doesn't charge please let me know through the guestbook. I've tried 20 minute sessions with repeating mantras but I have no idea about the other guidelines of TM and since it's a pretty 'deep' practice I only do it every few months as an occasional meditation. (After some surfing online I found this book by Herbert Benson: The Relaxation Response explains the TM method, so I'll probably try this one out.) I've seen this 2h lecture Streaming Vid about David Lynch's meditation, consciousness, and creativity themes after doing the first draft of this update.     Books, Audiobooks & Meditation
    There'll probably be some less updates around here since I updated a crapload the last few weeks, and cause I'm finishing Herman Hesse's Glass Bead game and had the crazy idea to start reading the Bhagavad-gita (as it is) by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada along with it... Btw if you're gonna call your version the "as it is" version you might aswell drop the damn dogmatic introduction but hey here's hoping the rest of the book is done in a better way ;)

    Some audiobook recommendations: "Andrew Weil & Kimba Arem - Self-Healing With Sound and Music" is a great book that has the most effective chakra meditation I've ever come across. My most practiced meditation starts out with the chakra thing now, then "Acoustic Brain Research - Transformation Now!" which was recommended by RAW and sure has my brain switching waves and then I listen to a hemi-sync session of "Dr. Jeffrey Thompson - Gamma Meditation System - Inner Mind" in which I practice Vipassana followed by a "Dr. Jeffrey D. Thompson & Owen Morrison - Brainwave Journey - Journey of the Spirit" session in which I practice visualisation. Now you know :p

    I'm hoping to start "Andrew Weil & Steven Gurgevich - Heal Yourself With Medical Hypnosis" right after the other Weil one. And while I'm promoting Weil let me say his Breathing Meditation audiobook is a great way to start breathing properly with also some great sessions to join in with. Much better IMO than the Huna breathing Tad James and his wife are offering in their Huna audiobook, I'm not finished with this one yet and I'm fascinated by the Huna way of inducing altered states very rapidly. More on this later.
    I finished Don Miguel Ruiz's Four Agreements, the narrator was the same grumpy ass one as in the Castaneda audiobooks but for the rest a great listen. Also finished Joseph Campbell's The Power of Myth which was an ok audiobook and his documentary Sukhavati (see last post) of which the second part was just fantastic.

    Crappy big corp Atlantis documentaries
    I was gonna check BBC Horizon (seen a few terrible docus in their series already) Atlantis Uncovered but as usual just like Discovery Channel and all those other pseudo-documentary organizations it's an unbiased piece of shit docu as you can see here. Apparently this one was so bad they had to re-cut it after complains of both G. Hancock and R. Bauval so as I don't know which bloody version of it's online I'm keeping away. There are 3 versions on the Streaming Vids page if you want an eye-rolling experience, I'm not wasting my time to see which one is the edited cut. If you want to learn about Atlantis you'll have to read about it, I've yet to see a really decent docu about it. And whenever big names like Discovery Channel, National Geographic or the BBC (except the Tribes series maybe) come in it gets ridiculous, even having read one book about it will show you these big corp docu organizatinos have few good intentions...

    Sorry not much links, torrent linking is too 'risky' and I started looking for some other links and the Huna wiki page was just so bad I gave up quickly. But seriously you folks oughta know how to find stuff on the internet now, it's 2007 dammit :p

    While it's great that the streaming vids page gets a huge amount of visitors,
    I think it's rather unfortunate that the main entrance only gets 10% of that traffic.
    Though bookmarks and access to navigation/sitemap through the vids page should compensate a little.

    Have a great New Year's Eve everybody!
    2006 Year review: Well it's been a strange year for my site, first I was located at http://www.droid.be but a few months in the year my webhost shut me down. I was offline for a while untill I, silly me, just activated my ISP webspace... which got me this awesome paradoxical url (there's nothing corporate or skynet (T2) about it! :p). I had a low amount of visitors due to the changing of URL's and slow updates getting back in the webmastering hang of it all. And then Steve from Second Attention popularized my url on several sites increasing the visitation hugely and making my Christmas and New Year a great one indeed knowing that all this content was getting spread to many people hopefully enhancing their lives as it did mine. So I wanna say thanks to Steve again from the bottom of my heart and all you lovely people on or off the path. Let's co-create a wonderful 2007!

I take my mp3player with me everywhere I go cause it's stockfull of audiobooks (that keep my eyes from withering away between reading :p), I finally found the greatest (expensive) headphones ever by Bandridge In-Ear Phone Comfort, only they broke after 3 months, no sound anymore. So I buy these JVC ones called Gumy, they looked soft and are practically called Gummy... only they're hard as a rock and don't even fit in human ears! So I went back to the store the next day cause I need me some damn good headphones and they only had ones from JVC (grrr) that were in-ear comfort and even more expensive than the last ones, and these have that unsymmetric cord length for each ear which I think looks and just is ridiculous. I wonder how long these'll last! I'm not gonna have to use freaking magic to get me some decent headphones am I? :p

    Eternal gratitude to Steve from the wonderful Second Attention for adding my site to stumbleupon.com for a great christmas present in the form of more visitors to my website :D Excellent timing and a merry X-mas indeed! (I was looking for a site like this, and stumbleupon.com just rocks!)

    I also had some great synchronicities with it. At first when I passed a clock at my folks house for christmas eve it was 20.12, then when driving home a bus had NEWAG3000 on it (new age), when I came home and saw the increased traffic, it was already at 26 a bit past midnight, 26 is my next age and birthday date. When I checked it next morning it was 81. My birth year. New Age indeed hehe.

    • God on the brain and the Ignorance of documentaries:
    Ignorance as in ignoring very relevant areas of research. I saw a frustrating documentary of the Horizon series today, I've seen quite terrible ones like one where they build a documentary on a hypothesis (of alien life in Indian 'red rain' cause of it not having any DNA) only to debunk it with newer research at the end (hey, it did have DNA!) - talk about wasting time...
    Anyway this one was called "God on the Brain" and they suppose Temperal lobe epilepsy caused religious visions in a few mystic people, as such trying to classify all religious experience as a disease with a 'a new branch of science' called neurotheology. This is a 2003 documentary, and though it is obviously interesting it was just insulting because it does not even mention anything about left and right brain communication OR endogenous DMT release (Rick Strassman released his book on DMT research in 2001) during emotional and/or physical traumatic experiences which are much more likely in all the cases they present. DMT release is very likely to occur during an epilepsy attack aswell as it occurs during moments of high stress as near-death experiences for example. Documentary makers... producing unenlightened shit for the idiot box lol; some nerve. (sorry but I just can't get over the fact that they ignore such relevant information)
    This wikipedia link speaks more about this, what's interesting is a researcher Ramachandran was able to show that patients with TLE showed enhanced emotional responses to the religious words, diminished responses to the sexually charged words, and normal responses to the neutral words. (However after strong visions and a life with TLE one can suppose this seems more as an indirect result of TLE and the visions than as a direct link with the disease). The article goes on to say quite boldly that... These results suggest that the medial temporal lobe is specifcally involved in generating some of the emotional reactions associated with religious words, images and symbols. But since the next paragraph is about UFO's and the documentary handled ghosts aswell, it's fair to say that researchers should investigate left-right brain activity and endogenous DMT release aswell to say the least.
    The 'highlight' of the documentary was the failed attempt of trying the God Helmet on staunch atheist Richard Dawkins, a means of inducing altered states by creating a weak but complex magnetic field over the brain's right-hemisphere parietal and temporal lobes. Again this could just be a means of activating left-right brain activity or DMT release. At the end they tested a meditator and at the peak of his (quite normal) meditative experience they registered lobes that handle our sense of self to be diminishing in activity.
    I'm not even saying left-right brain communication (or hemisphere synchronisation) or DMT are most likely to be the cause of the experiences, there's so much we still don't know about other hallucinogens and our minds in general, consider this as mainly venting of the ignoring of research.     This update features more examples of Synchronicity, a huge resource of information about the history of Synchronicity in religion, philosophy and science and some new quotes. I'll probably adapt the page again later on as I'm reading a book about the subject of Carl Jung himself.

    Btw if you want these other updates I promised in the below posting faster & sooner along with other updates, get more people to this site by telling your friends and people about this website. I can't be expected to put daily hours of work into this website if there's only a handful people visiting each day. (I use those hours to learn more myself instead as I study philosophy, psychology, mysticism, the occult, religion, history, mythology, music and the sciences among many other subjects.)

As of about 5 minutes ago, over $68,000 has come in. We are all overjoyed as it now means that we can continue to celebrate this phase of his life in the comfort of his own home, with all the care he needs, until his passing, honored by the loving support of so, so many wondrous folks. Just last week I was sick with heartache as we were faced with giving his notice and now, the world has simply and completely - transformed. Last night, he dictated a note that he wanted me to forward to you - below is the text. He is very weak, cannot sit up or eat on his own, and as he struggled with a whispery voice to express his gratitude, he broke into tears several times. How my heart swelled as I gazed at this man who has been both one of the most frustrating - and incredible - beings I have ever known. I would not be who I am today, had I not grown up with him.     Anyway, this morning Bob's daughter showed up at his house in tears because she had checked his PayPal account and found money for next month's rent plus more. Bob called me to say that he couldn't believe people would care so much about him and as we talked (which isn't easy for him at this point) he was overcome with emotion more than once. He is so touched and RELIEVED at the possibility of staying in his home. He kept repeating to me his deep felt appreciation and disbelief that people would care so much about him. What a humble and sweet man.
